Angel Food Ministries

Have you ever heard of Angel Food Ministries? It's a great program to help cut down on your grocery costs. Go here to find your closest local host site. You place your order by a certain date and your food will come in about a week or two later.

For the low price of $30.00 this is what will be in the Angel Food box in my area for June. (I am not sure if all areas carry the same thing.)
1.5 lb Rib Eye Steaks (4 x 6 oz)
1.5 lb Hamburger Patties (4 x 6 oz)
2 lb Pork Riblets
4 lb Individually quick Frozen Chicken Leg Quarters
2 lb Breaded Chicken Tenders
20 oz. Supreme Pizza
1 lb Mild Italian Sausage
2 lb French Fries
16 oz. Sliced Carrots
16 oz. Mixed Vegetables
32 oz. Borden 2% Reduced Fat Milk
6 oz. Pancake Mix
15 oz. Pork and Beans
14 oz Ketchup
7.5 oz Macaroni and Cheese
Dozen eggs
Desert Item

There are additional special boxes you can add to the regular box but I am not going to list those here - you can see them on the website. They average around $16.00 - $20.00 for something like 10 lbs of chicken or 6.5 lbs of steaks. Sometimes they offer a fruit box or dessert box. It always varies but the price is terrific!

This is what works for us in helping to cut down grocery costs. For hundreds more great Works-For-Me tips, head on over to Rocks In My Dryer.

How is the qualitly of the meat? I have been debating for about 3 months whether or not to buy a box. My husband is picky about meat quality and that has been the one hold out on buying it.

I am not a red-meat eater but my family has never complained about the meat. I have never had problems with the chicken. You can always try a box the first time and if you don't like it don't order again...you get a lot of other stuff too. :-)

I heard about Angel Ministries through another source just recently. Unfortunately, there are no sites near us. It looks like a great program!

if your husband is picky--there is stuff he will not eat!
some of the so called steak meat is very odd

almost all the breaded chicken st be fried

not healthy

I would read the menu and if you think you will eat most of it try it

the cost is not much, you get your monies worth if you eat it all and the dessert is goo the month you buy

we got pies a few times then the
3rd time we got teddy bear crackers!
