We got Rock Band on Saturday. This was quite unexpected. Dakota had a bunch of games he was trading in (as he always does once he is done with them) because he was trying to get up enough money for Mario Kart Wii. He gets an allowance so we don't buy his games. He only had about $30.00 on him and needed some more so he thought this would be a good time to trade some games.
We trade and buy games at Game Stop/EB Games. We very rarely buy new games. But when we have compared prices on new games with the Walmart next door, Game Stop is always running some kind of special and they cut us deals all the time so we keep going back to them. They are running a special right now that for every 2 Wii, or Xbox 360 games you trade you receive an extra $10.00 - that's a pretty cool deal! Dakota took in 6 of those games so right off the bat he got $30.00
Once the guy finished tallying up his credit it came up to a whopping $219.13 - that was for 20 games and one PS2 Memory card. The games were for Wii, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS and Gameboy Advanced. We were both shocked!!
Unfortunately they were out of Mario Kart Wii and they weren't expecting more anytime soon. Dakota instantly thought of Rock Band and he went to see how much it was. He was able to get Rock Band and Mario Kart for his Nintendo DS. He was one happy boy!!
We have had so much fun playing this game. I either play the guitar or sing depending on if Greg plays with us. If Greg is playing he is doing the guitar and I am singing. Dakota is on the drums. He LOVES the drums.
